Scottsdale’s El Dorado Bar and Grill Drafts First String Team for Events

First String Promotions is pleased to announce its agreement with the valley’s renowned El Dorado Bar and Grill.  Beginning immediately, the valley’s marketing and events management company, First String Promotions will host the long- time running Wednesday Music Jam at the El Dorado.  First String Promotions owner- and local musician-bandleader, Buzz Fowler will work closely with local owners, Barb and Joe to manage promotional events and marketing for Scottsdale’s landmark venue, and for their Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point), Mexico, Sandbar Paradise Beach Club.

Long past known as the Blue Note, Scottsdale’s current El Dorado Bar and Grill has been a favorite for over ten years.  Locals and visitors have enjoyed great food, hot music and cold beverages in a friendly and entertaining atmosphere.  The legacy continues.  Voted “Best Neighborhood Bar” (Phoenix New Times, 2010 “Best of Award”) the El Dorado proudly is still a favorite for local and visiting musicians to socialize, jam and professionally network; and of course for the locals simply to hang out and have fun.

Egg Recall Information

Federal and state officials are investigating a nationwide increase ofSalmonella Enteritidis infections associated with shell eggs.

  • Outbreak: Since May 2010, there has been a four-fold increase in the number of cases of Salmonella Enteritidis infections.
  • Source: Preliminary investigations by federal and state officials suggest that shell eggs are the likely source of many of these infections.
  • Recall: On August 13, 2010, Wright County Egg conducted a nationwide voluntary recall of shell eggs. On August 19, the recall was expanded. For an up-to-date list of brands recalled, including egg carton codes, see the Affected Brands and Descriptions chart.
